RE: alot about tires

Very few people know anything about how tires are built and which ones are really the best.
I've bought both Goodyears and Michelin and can't tell any difference.
Most folks buy the cheapest anyway.

this falls into the category of the woman who spilled McDonalds coffee on herself. You are right. The spilled coffee incident was later proven to be a scam from the start.

RE: **Stop a Divorce over ice**

The ice itself is still below 32 degrees. The water is above 32 degrees. The longer the water is in contact with the ice the faster the ice will melt. The water will transfer the heat from beverages faster but will melt the ice sooner. To preserve the ice dump the water. Simple fact of the British thermal unit.Radardog is the only one who has it right.
Think about it, you have water because its warmer than the ice.
The warmer water will cause the remaining ice to melt faster.

RE: Worst dish mom made?

Historically, my two sisters never liked each other and constantly fought about trivial things.
Visiting mom was always a cat fight and difficult for mom, until one sister decided to make "brownies" and take them to moms upon their next visit.
As you might expect, after coffee & brownies, they all seemed to have such a good time laughing and getting along just fine.
Mom later said how happy they all were and finally her girls were fast becoming such good friends.
Yes, you guessed it. One of my sisters was a pot head.

Windows open or closed, it doesn't matter.
Cats have 9 lives.
Just don't use them all on one trip.

RE: Ontario fee on large MH passing through

My advice: stay off the 407! The private consortium that owns it has agreements with most other provinces and US states, and you WILL get a bill in the mail, since your licence plate is photographed every time you enter and leave the highway.Just curious.
How do they collect fines from someone who ignores the notice and lives in the USA?

RE: towd air conditioner conundrum

Whatever you do, Don't to back to the first guy.
Give it some time as suggested and see if the dye shows anywhere.
The oil could be the clue.
As I clear my bloodshot eyes and squint deeply into my crystal ball, I'd say a new compressor is in your future.

You have too many distractions to play with while you are driving. You are not as safe as you would like to think you are.You should list the proper number of things a driver is allowed to see so that we all may benefit. :R

RE: CO Alarm Testing??

Reprinted from a google search.
Consumers have been known to "test" CO alarms by placing them adjacent the exhaust pipe of an automobile, for a period of time. However, this form of testing is generally not effective, since automobile exhaust gas is dirty, and tends to contaminate the CO sensor.
There is a CO alarm testing kit currently available in the marketplace, comprising a glass vial of CO gas and a plastic bag. To test an ac operated CO alarm using this testing kit, the user must plug the alarm into an extension cord, place the alarm and the vial into the bag, close the bag around the extension cord, and break the vial. This testing kit is not always effective, because sometimes the vial leaks, and it is difficult to determine if the vial is full or empty, because CO gas is colourless. This kit is somewhat awkward for use with ac operated alarms, since it requires the user to hold the bag tightly around the extension cord for a period of time. This kit is also relatively expensive, and can be used only once.
